I wanted to share my Spring bulletin board with everyone. I have a class full of readers. They love our time during the day when we just get to read. I saw this idea on pinterest and had to do it. It was kind of like a project for them. I told them to be thinking of their FAVORITE book and why it's their FAVORITE. They got to meet with their reading partners and discuss. We worked on this project for a week. We finally got to write about our favorite book and then share. We also worked on sequencing before Spring Break. I bought Leslie Ann Rowland's comprehension sheets to help with this skill. Check out this awesomeness! Happy Monday!
We are starting our measuring unit this week. The kids love using their math kits that have their rulers and color tiles in them. We use those tools for measuring. They love how hands on this Chapter is. We have gotten to work in groups and with our math partners. I will post more pictures from this unit and show you all the neat things that we are doing in room 216. Check out us using our rulers to measure objects in our classroom.
We made it through Dr. Seuss 2014!! It was a really fun week. We even threw a field trip in there with it. Crazy I know! The kids loved getting to dress up and having a break from our normal routine. We got to do a lot of fun activities. Take a look at our crazy but fun Dr. Seuss week!!
